Toshie Takeuchi is a visual artist living and working in Copenhagen. Exploring fragile position and ambiguous territory of man in his physical and psychological realm is Takeuchi's main interest. In an attempt to play with the insubstantial, she searches within man's personal safe zones. Seeking harmony within contradiction seems to be our mandated practice. The cause of the works often stem from her own experiences in close and personal environments. Through her artworks, she offers an alternative perception to the viewer when it comes to considering conventional values of “property", thereby creating alternate journeys.
