Parabolic Wall Relays
Parabolic Wall Relays are periodic zones containing textual scores for reflection (both sonic and contemplative) within the landscape in central Hårbølle created for På Den Anden Side. A series of curved, free-standing walls are scattered throughout the surrounding fields. Containing textual scores, these sites invite people to visit, stay awhile, offering a chance for solitude, play and reflection of and with sound and site.
Jenny Gräf (DK/US) is an interdisciplinary artist who creates participatory performances. She works with the role of social dynamics, personal agency, memory and capital in the context of art. Gräf has created performances in the form of large scale dinners, psychic sound readings, and manufactured scents from Copenhagen harbor waters. She has also collaborated on long-term projects with women with Alzheimer’s. Currently she is Associate Professor at the Laboratory for Sound at Det Kongelige Danske Kunstakademi in Copenhagen.
